My Journey in the Private

Estate Industry

From working as a Butler in Los Angeles and the South of France, to managing homes in the Hamptons and Manhattan, I've gained immense insight into the world of private estates. I'm truly grateful to have worked with some wonderful families and incredibly talented colleagues along the way.

Over the course of my 25 years in the hospitality industry, I've always had a genuine interest in people. The people that help make a company thrive, the people who for different reasons end up not being the right fit, and everyone in between. I've become convinced that you can have the greatest product or service in the world, but at the end of the day, it's the people you hire that often end up determining your long-term success.

After I left the corporate hospitality industry and began working in private estates, I soon realized that this philosophy still rang true. Possibly even more so. Because of the intimate environment of working directly in a private home, yacht, family office, etc, I believe it's more important than ever to have the right people on your team.

Regardless of how detailed house manuals are, or how well-established your systems and protocols may be, nothing can replace having the right personalities, work ethic, and level of trust in your staff and leadership team.

For me, forming Dolce Vita Staffing was a dream come true. A perfect marriage of staying in the industry I knew and loved, but allowing me focus my efforts on the aspect of it that I truly enjoyed, which is to connect people and build successful teams. My commitment to the hiring process is that I refuse to quickly fill positions simply to collect a commission. I've witnessed a high turnover of staff and the problems it creates in the past, and my direct experience in the industry enables me to communicate clearly with both clients and candidates to help mitigate this challenge.

"My mission is to create an environment where my clients are confident that I understand their needs, but also where my candidates appreciate that I recognize their perspectives as well. At the end of the day, if the client views their new staff member as hard-working and pleasant to be around, and the candidate loves their job and looks forward to going to work everyday, then I have done my job well."
